(me, this morning from the porch. nice view huh?)

i've got a massachusettes drivers license today! i had to take a theoretical test and a road test with some hotshot police officer with blue reflective shades and smooth blond hair flattened back with moose. i didn't drive two minutes and passed it. maybe because my dad was sweet-talking him "good morning officer" and "my son was just released from an elite intelligence unit he served for 3 years in israel", and maybe it was because he was aware of the fact that i've been cruising the roads since my 17th birthday cake.

so i've been busy this week doing some ha ve da. now i have 4 bank accounts in 2 different banks(!). i have my driver's license, social security card, birth certificate and a better idea of alaska. i feel ready to begin this expedition! i already made reservations in anchorage for the first couple of nights.

here is summer steet in boston downtown:

and this was taken from my abba's office boston (42nd floor):

i added a mailing list feature. see top right. sign up and be notified when i publish a new post. this will allow me to bug you easily, and in masses. ...all part of my brilliant plot to take over the world... moooahahaha!!

take it easy!

Hey Mike,
Continuing our little talk before you left, if you finish your long trip with some money left in your new foreign bank accounts (dunno if it's possible, but just in case...), don't try to bring it into israel (that is, IF you're planning on coming back here). One of the nice little things our government likes is apply a really high taxation on money brought from abroad.
Leave the cash in the american bank accounts - it'll make good use some day...
keep up the good work, and don't worry about the spanish - you'll catch it real quickly.
