i'm leaving for alaska in a couple of hours. i've spent the last few days wandering around boston downtown, cambridge and brighton (- both are areas in boston).

i met some people on the dock two days ago. i was taking pictures of moss (that green stuff that grows on rocks in the water) instead of the beatiful view above it

and around it

so these people were laughing at me. friendly laugh. a conversation sroke up and i ended spending a couple of nights with them hanging out in the boston/brighton area.

i tell you, apartments here are gorgeous. antique european style. wood, brick 'n stone. beautiful. around $600 a month for a really nice apartment with 2 roomates in good area. you can cover your expenses with a part time job and live pretty well on top of it. and the neighbors are usually quiet:

it's definitely a place i could see myself living in.

the boston science museum is very interesting and VERY full of information. after a couple of hours i couldn't absorb any more. it's like 7 years of science classes all concentrated into one building and 15 dollars. the human mind can't learn so much in one day. i sure did enjoy the visit though! i learned some new stuff - like modules for bird flocking in formations and specific sound frequencies that make water dance.

now the real journey begins. i got a huge backpack, stuffed all my things inside, and i'm ready to travel. i'll be landing in alaska 11pm tonight, western time (-9 GMT). That's a 4 hour difference from boston and 11 hour difference from israel. i'll be in everybody's past.
